Dress for the weather and conditions (expect mosquitos and ticks). There are glacially formed ridges and marshy swales so you should wear rubber boots. Cameras, close-focusing binoculars, clipboards, field guides, insect repellant, long sleeved shirts, and long pants are suggested. Do not bring nets or jars. Since the area is open to the public and people live nearby, we don't want them to start using nets in the prairie because they saw us doing it. Bottled drinking water will be supplied. There are no picnic tables so if you'd like to eat a sack lunch before you leave, bring a folding chair and cup. We will eat near the port-a-potty.
